About this Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of IT in developing, implementing and maintaining the organisation's IT strategy, deputising when required.
  • Design, implement and maintain secure, scalable and cost-effective technology solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Manage IT infrastructure, cloud services, connectivity and core platforms to ensure high levels of availability, performance and security.
  • Lead IT projects and technology change initiatives, applying best practice project management principles to deliver successful outcomes and an excellent user experience.
  • Manage third-party suppliers and service providers, ensuring strong performance, value for money, contractual compliance and adherence to security standards.
  • Take responsibility for major incident management, disaster recovery planning, vulnerability management and the continuous improvement of IT services.

Qualifications

  • ITIL awareness or certification.
  • Microsoft certification or equivalent technical qualifications.
  • Strong technical expertise across modern IT environments.
  • Project management qualification or demonstrable project delivery experience.

  • Proven experience engaging stakeholders and leading technology change initiatives.
  • Successful delivery of IT platforms and solutions that provide measurable business value.
  • Strong technical delivery and operational support experience across infrastructure, cloud services, IT service management and cyber security.

Essential

Desirable

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Computing, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of information security frameworks, IT governance, audit processes and IT service management best practices.
