About this Role

The Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating projects from initial planning through to successful completion. The role requires effective leadership of project teams, strong client relationship management, and a commitment to delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys alongside consultants, LV specialists, and Principal Designers (PD).
  • Plan, monitor, and report on key project milestones.
  • Support the Quantity Surveyor in preparing project cost plans.
  • Manage and coordinate the design process.
  • Administer contracts and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Develop and manage project programmes, sequencing, and phasing.
  • Coordinate site set-up with the Site Manager.
  • Monitor site progress and provide regular performance updates.
  • Chair and manage project meetings with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee commercial performance, ensuring budgets, resource allocation, cost value reconciliations (CVRs), and profit forecasts remain accurate.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, to specification, on schedule, and within agreed budgets.
  • Manage practical completion, project handover, and final sign-off.
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) documentation, including test certificates, warranties, technical data sheets, and other required records.
  • Promote compliance with all Health & Safety legislation, company procedures, and industry best practice throughout the project lifecycle.



Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing commercial Solar PV installation projects.
  • Experience with LV electrical installations and modifications.
  • Previous project management experience within the retail sector.
  • Demonstrable experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing commercial performance.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to contribute to project profitability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and other standard Microsoft Office applications.
