Join a Growing Asset Management Consultancy

Moston is a growing Asset Management Consultancy dedicated to delivering exceptional quality and value to clients across a wide range of sectors. We specialise in the management, assurance and optimisation of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) assets within complex facilities environments.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a Technical Assurance Lead to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded professional with experience in M&E assets, facilities management, engineering or asset management to help maintain and enhance the quality of our services.

About the Role

As Technical Assurance Lead, you will play a key role in supporting the quality and consistency of our project delivery. Working closely with our surveying teams, project managers and technical specialists, you will carry out technical reviews, undertake quality audits and help ensure our deliverables meet both client expectations and Moston's quality standards.

This role is ideal for someone looking to move into, or further develop within, a technical assurance position while continuing to use their engineering or asset management expertise. You'll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and act as a trusted technical resource across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical quality reviews and audits in line with Moston's QA/QC processes.
  • Review M&E asset data and technical documentation for accuracy, consistency and completeness.
  • Support compliance with industry standards, including SFG20 and CIBSE guidance.
  • Provide technical support and advice on asset lifecycle management and maintenance strategies.
  • Identify quality issues and opportunities for improvement, supporting the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of QA/QC processes, templates and best practice.
  • Collaborate with surveyors, project managers and clients to ensure consistent, high-quality project delivery.
  • Produce clear technical review reports and maintain accurate quality assurance records.
  • Keep up to date with relevant legislation, industry standards and developments within the facilities management and asset management sectors.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in a technical assurance, QA/QC, asset management or hands-on engineering role.
  • A sound understanding of Mechanical and Electrical building services and associated assets.
  • Good knowledge of SFG20 maintenance standards and CIBSE guidance.
  • Experience within facilities management, building services or asset management.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and asset management software.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
  • A supportive, collaborative and forward-thinking team environment.
  • The opportunity to make a real impact within a fast-growing and ambitious consultancy.
  • A varied and rewarding role working with clients across multiple sectors.
