Our client, a well-established construction business, is looking to appoint an experienced Part-Time Construction Planner to support projects across multiple sites in the Oxford area. This is an excellent opportunity for a planner seeking flexibility while remaining involved in a varied portfolio of construction projects.
You'll work closely with site and project teams to develop, monitor and maintain construction programmes, ensuring projects remain on track and potential risks are identified early.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and update construction programmes for live projects.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Site Managers to monitor progress against programme.
- Identify potential delays and programme risks, recommending practical mitigation measures.
- Attend site meetings across the Oxford area to review project progress.
- Produce programme updates and progress reports for internal and client stakeholders.
- Support project teams with planning from pre-construction through to project delivery where required.
- Ensure programmes accurately reflect site progress and key project milestones.
Requirements
- Proven planning experience within the UK construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project delivery and programme management.
- Experience using planning software such as Microsoft Project, Asta Powerproject or Primavera P6 is beneficial
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with site and project teams.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites in the Oxford area.
- Candidates must be eligible to obtain BPSS clearance.
