We are seeking an experienced Interim Planning Manager to lead and coordinate a major construction programme. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing, maintaining, and managing complex programme schedules and must have a deep understanding of the construction lifecycle, specifically the RIBA Plan of Work stages.
This role is outside IR35, offers a competitive daily rate, and requires a candidate who holds current DV clearance and is a sole UK national due to the sensitivity of the programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and monitor comprehensive programme schedules for construction projects, aligned with the RIBA stages.
- Lead programme planning, coordination, and reporting across multiple workstreams.
- Ensure programme dependencies, risks, and milestones are clearly defined and proactively managed.
- Collaborate with project delivery teams, contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with delivery timelines.
- Provide regular updates, reporting, and risk assessments to senior leadership.
- Act as the central point of coordination for programme delivery and scheduling assurance.
- Maintain oversight of project interdependencies, identifying and mitigating potential conflicts.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Proven track record as a Programme Manager within the construction sector.
- Strong working knowledge of the RIBA Plan of Work stages.
- Demonstrated ability to pull together and manage complex construction programmes from inception through to completion.
- Expertise in programme scheduling, risk management, and reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working in high-security or classified environments.
Essential Criteria:
- Current and active DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance.
- Sole UK National – no dual nationality or other citizenships.
