Our client, a leading facilities management provider, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a wide range of refurbishment, lifecycle, maintenance and small works projects across a diverse property portfolio.
You will take ownership of projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will manage project risks throughout the lifecycle while ensuring full compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation.
Working closely with clients, operational teams, contractors and supply chain partners, you will coordinate project delivery, agree priorities and programmes, and ensure all project documentation is completed accurately and maintained within relevant CAFM and document management systems.
A key part of the role will involve leading subcontractors and site teams, ensuring competent resources are deployed, reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), and monitoring project performance to achieve successful outcomes. You will also act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout delivery, resolving issues quickly and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.
You will be responsible for managing project budgets, forecasting costs and ensuring commercial performance while delivering value for money. Strong stakeholder management skills will be essential, as you will provide regular project updates and work collaboratively with internal teams and clients to drive continuous improvement.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience delivering construction, maintenance or facilities management projects, with the ability to lead operational teams and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
You will have experience in:
- Delivering projects safely, on time and within budget
- Managing subcontractors and site-based teams
- Project planning, programming and resource management
- Budget control and commercial awareness
- Client and stakeholder management
- Health & Safety compliance and safe systems of work
- Problem solving and decision making within live operational environments
You will ideally hold an HNC/HND in Building, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or possess equivalent industry experience.
Essential qualifications include:
- SMSTS (or equivalent Health & Safety qualification)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and CAFM systems
Desirable qualifications include:
- Membership of a professional body such as APM, RICS or CIOB
- Additional technical qualifications relating to asbestos, legionella or Authorised Person responsibilities
- Experience working with CAFM platforms and document management systems
The successful candidate will be an effective communicator with excellent organisational skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients, contractors and colleagues while driving projects through to successful completion.
