About this Role

Role Summary

Manage the delivery of facilities management services across assigned PFI, PPP and non-PFI contracts. Work closely with the Regional Manager and key stakeholders to ensure compliance with project and facilities management agreements, statutory requirements and client standards. Maximise revenue and profitability through effective deduction management, deployment of direct labour, procurement and lifecycle planning.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage facilities management services, taking responsibility for contract performance, people management, health and safety, quality and profitability.
  • Deliver the requirements of project and facilities management agreements, including service level agreements and contractual deliverables.
  • Develop site-specific policies and operational procedures that reflect company values and client requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with client standards, Building Bulletins and service output specifications.
  • Build constructive, long-term relationships with client representatives, end users and special purpose vehicle stakeholders.
  • Coordinate technical specifications and the sourcing of mechanical and electrical components to help reduce operational risk.
  • Manage and develop staff through effective training, a positive working culture and support for employee retention.
  • Monitor performance and prepare monthly reports for clients and the Account Director, covering compliance, issues, planned workloads, risks and opportunities.
  • Maintain risk controls, health and safety systems, audit procedures and contingency plans to support legislative compliance.
  • Manage contract budgets and procurement to achieve value for money; identify revenue and profit opportunities through deduction management, effective deployment of direct labour and lifecycle planning.
  • Report monthly and year-to-date profit and loss performance, maintain budget accountability, minimise aged debt and recover work in progress within agreed timescales.
  • Ensure statutory requirements are met across facilities and act as the contract Responsible Person for Legionella and fire safety.
  • Work flexibly with the wider integrated facilities management team to support business growth and profitability.


Qualifications and Experience

Relevant industry qualifications; previous experience in the PFI or PPP sector and in healthcare or education settings; experience developing operational plans for PFI or PPP contracts; strong administration and organisational skills; proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and Concept or Vixen. A technical background and qualification, including knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, are desirable.
