The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Account Manager to oversee the delivery of facilities management services across a portfolio of educational sites in Northampton.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring operational excellence, driving continuous improvement, and delivering strong commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure health and safety standards are consistently achieved and maintained across the contract.
  • Take ownership of the operational and financial performance of the contract, with a strong understanding of profit and loss management.
  • Lead the delivery of services in line with contractual requirements and agreed operating procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, challenge existing processes, and drive operational and financial improvements.
  • Promote innovation and lead initiatives that enhance service delivery.
  • Monitor and manage contract performance, ensuring all service obligations and key performance indicators are met.
  • Provide effective leadership and direction to operational teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience working within a PFI environment or managing contracts against Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Proven experience in delivering against contractual obligations.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrable experience managing contract performance and operational service delivery.
  • A solid understanding of health and safety management.
  • The ability to make informed decisions and take accountability for outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the credibility and gravitas expected of a senior leadership role.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience leading change and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of commercial contract management, including implementation, monitoring, and review processes.
  • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for service enhancement and operational efficiency.
