We are currently representing a major global Facilities Management provider in the search for a Programme Director – Technical (UK) to support a high-profile international account.

This is a pivotal appointment, designed to strengthen technical delivery, elevate operational performance and play a key role in securing a successful long-term contract renewal. The position is initially offered on an interim basis, with a strong probability of becoming permanent.

The role covers sites in London and Brighton, with the primary base in Brighton.

The Opportunity

This is a senior leadership role operating across both tactical and strategic levels. You will be responsible for stabilising, improving and future-proofing technical operations, while working closely with the client and internal delivery teams to ensure consistent, high-quality performance.

The successful candidate will bring a strong blend of operational control and long-term asset strategy expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Operational & Technical Leadership

  • Lead and improve day-to-day technical FM operations across multiple UK sites
  • Enhance workload planning, resource allocation and engineering productivity
  • Conduct site inspections and performance reviews to drive standards
  • Strengthen compliance, governance and H&S performance
  • Support commissioning activities to ensure projects are delivered and handed over correctly

Strategic & Programme Delivery

  • Develop and implement a robust Asset Management Plan
  • Introduce reliability-centred maintenance principles
  • Drive energy optimisation and efficiency improvements
  • Embed lifecycle asset management strategies
  • Align technical performance with the broader commercial renewal strategy

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a senior technical FM leader with:

  • Extensive experience within complex, multi-site FM environments
  • A track record of improving technical performance on established accounts
  • Strong asset management and lifecycle planning capability
  • Experience in critical or highly regulated environments (desirable)
  • Commercial awareness and credibility at senior stakeholder level
  • Experience supporting contract renewals, mobilisations or re-bids

This role would suit an experienced Technical Director, Head of Engineering, or Senior Account Leader looking to step into a broader programme-level remit.
