Senior Project Manager – Building Services / M&E
Location: London – covering SE1 & SE3
Salary: £65,000 + £5,500 Car Allowance
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join an established building services contractor following the award of a significant multi-site retail contract across London.
This is a senior delivery position with responsibility for a portfolio of projects across SE1 and SE3, covering M&E, HVAC, asset replacement, decarbonisation and wider building services works within live operational environments.
You will take projects from initial survey and pre-construction through design, procurement and delivery to commissioning, handover and final account. Alongside project delivery, you will act as a key point of contact for the client, helping to develop the relationship and support the continued growth of the account.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of multiple M&E and building services projects across the London portfolio.
- Manage projects through the full lifecycle from survey and pre-construction through to commissioning, handover and final account.
- Act as a senior point of contact for the client, developing strong relationships and maintaining high levels of service.
- Coordinate Project Managers, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and wider delivery partners.
- Manage project programmes, labour, materials, procurement, technical submissions, variations and project risks.
- Oversee M&E design coordination, constructability reviews, commissioning and handover.
- Take responsibility for commercial performance including budgets, forecasting, cost-to-complete, variations and final accounts.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Support and mentor Project Managers and wider members of the delivery team.
- Identify opportunities for repeat work and further development of the client account.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for an established Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with a strong background in M&E, HVAC or building services project delivery.
You should have:
- Proven experience managing multiple M&E/building services projects simultaneously.
- Experience working within live operational environments, ideally retail or other multi-site estates.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.
- Experience across areas such as HVAC, AHUs, heat pumps, ventilation, controls/BEMS, decarbonisation or major asset replacement.
- Strong commercial knowledge including budgeting, forecasting, procurement, variations and final accounts.
- Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of CDM, construction health & safety and project quality requirements.

SMSTS or equivalent.
- Appropriate CSCS card.
- Full UK driving licence.
Previous experience delivering projects across major retail, commercial or multi-site environments would be advantageous.
