Electrical Engineer – Heathrow Airport

Location: Heathrow Airport, Greater London

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday, 21:00 – 05:00

Employment: Full-time, Permanent

We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading facilities management and engineering services provider, working within a busy environment at Heathrow Airport.

This is a permanent night-shift position, responsible for delivering planned and reactive electrical maintenance, ensuring equipment and building services remain safe, compliant and operational.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical safety checks and installation inspections.
• Complete reactive electrical fault finding and repairs.
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with agreed schedules.
• Carry out inspections and monitoring to support preventative maintenance programmes.
• Ensure all works comply with relevant health & safety requirements and statutory regulations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and update works using relevant IT systems.
• Identify defects and potential issues before they impact site operations.
• Deliver a professional service within a busy, customer-facing environment.
• Work closely with the wider engineering and facilities team to maintain service levels.

What We're Looking For

• Level 3 City & Guilds 2330 or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation – essential.
• Qualification in Electrical Inspection & Testing.
• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Strong electrical maintenance, fault finding and repair experience.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Good IT skills with the ability to accurately maintain electronic maintenance records.
• Previous experience within Facilities Management, Building Services or a similar maintenance environment would be advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional approach.
• Ability to work effectively within a safety-critical and operationally demanding environment.
