Multi-Skilled Engineer – Electrical Bias

We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer with an Electrical Bias to join a leading facilities management and engineering services provider in Stansted.

This is a hands-on position responsible for supporting electrical installation, maintenance, testing, fault finding and repair activities across a busy operational environment. You’ll ensure both planned and remedial works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, testing and repair works.
• Diagnose electrical faults and complete remedial works as required.
• Support wider engineering and maintenance activities, including wiring, calibration and alignment tasks.
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance activities in line with site requirements.
• Accurately update maintenance records and work orders following completed works.
• Use electrical test equipment, tools and materials safely and appropriately.
• Follow safe isolation and lockout/tagout procedures, with no live working undertaken.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping across all works.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings and wider site meetings where required.
• Work effectively both independently and alongside other engineers and trades.

What We're Looking For

• BS 7671 18th Edition Electrical Installations qualification – essential.
• Strong electrical maintenance, fault finding and repair experience.
• Good understanding of electrical systems, plant and controls.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, procedures and maintenance instructions.
• Previous experience within a facilities management, building services, industrial or similar engineering environment would be advantageous.
• A proactive and organised approach with the ability to manage your own workload.
• Strong awareness of health & safety and electrical safe working practices.
• Comfortable working as part of a multi-skilled engineering team.
