  • Manage project risks, identifying potential issues early and implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors and supply chain partners, ensuring suitably qualified and experienced resources are deployed.
  • Review risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
  • Monitor contractor performance, programme progress and quality throughout delivery.
  • Manage project costs, budgets and commercial decisions, ensuring value for money.
  • Work closely with site teams, customers and key stakeholders to agree project requirements, priorities and timescales.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, records and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure works comply with relevant statutory, health & safety and environmental requirements.
  • Support sustainability objectives and identify opportunities to improve environmental performance.
  • Resolve project and end-user issues effectively while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Drive continuous improvement and share best practice across project delivery.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a background in construction, facilities management, building services, engineering or infrastructure delivery.

You should be comfortable taking ownership of projects within a live operational environment and managing contractors, stakeholders, budgets and programmes simultaneously.

You will ideally bring:

  • Proven experience delivering construction, infrastructure, refurbishment, building services or facilities-related projects.
  • Experience supervising operational teams, contractors or supply chain partners.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, cost control, risk and programme management.
  • Good knowledge of health & safety requirements and safe systems of work.
  • Experience managing project stakeholders and communicating effectively across different levels.
  • An HNC/HND in Building, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A recognised health & safety qualification such as SMSTS.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Experience using CAFM or project management systems would be beneficial.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body such as APM, RICS or CIOB would be advantageous.
  • Additional qualifications or experience relating to asbestos, legionella or Authorised Person responsibilities would also be beneficial.

  • Salary up to £50,000
  • Company car or car allowance
  • 6% matched pension contribution
  • 25 days annual leave
  • Private medical cover
  • Life assurance at 2x base salary
  • Permanent position within a long-term, high-profile infrastructure environment
