An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Qualified Supervisor to join the growing Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) team. Reporting to the Senior Electrical Qualified Supervisor, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring electrical compliance, maintaining industry standards, and supporting engineers across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and guidance to engineers, colleagues, and clients on electrical compliance in accordance with BS 7671, the Electricity at Work Regulations (EAWR), and NICEIC requirements.
- Audit electrical installations to ensure compliance with the latest IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and NICEIC standards.
- Review electrical certification produced by employed and subcontracted engineers to ensure accuracy and compliance with NICEIC requirements.
- Assist in assessing the qualifications and competence of electrical engineers.
- Support the delivery of technical training to employed and subcontracted engineers.
- Promote best practice and maintain high standards of electrical safety and workmanship.
Knowledge and Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- A positive, professional, and inclusive approach when working with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
- The ability to work independently, manage priorities, and perform effectively under pressure.
- A minimum of two years' experience working with NICEIC inspectors and third-party auditors.
- Good IT and computer literacy skills.
- A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
Qualifications
Essential
- Industry-recognised electrical trade or professional qualification.
- Completed electrical apprenticeship.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- Inspection and Testing qualifications (2391 and/or 2394).
- Sound knowledge of current electrical regulations and compliance standards.
Desirable
- CSCS or ECS Card.
- IOSH qualification.
- SMSTS.
- CDM awareness.
- Asbestos Awareness training.
- Health and Safety qualifications or relevant certifications.
