About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee on-site operations for a major project in Bicester. You will be responsible for ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards, while coordinating subcontractors and site teams effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day site operations and ensure project milestones are met
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and site personnel
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and senior project stakeholders
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure quality control procedures are followed
  • Maintain accurate site records and reports


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager on large-scale projects
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. HNC/HND or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar)
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification
  • CSCS Card (Black/Manager level)
  • Strong knowledge of UK construction regulations and H&S legislation
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and workstreams effectively



Security Clearance:

Due to the nature of the site, successful candidates will be required to undergo and obtain BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance prior to starting.
