Afternoon Cleaning Operative

Location: Cambridge

Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:30 pm – 5:30 pm (25 hours per week)

Pay: £15.00 per hour

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Afternoon Cleaning Operative to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and enjoys working independently in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Cleaning and maintaining washrooms to a high standard.
• Filling and emptying the dishwasher and keeping kitchen areas clean and tidy.
• Replenishing consumables in kitchens and washrooms.
• Filling, emptying and cleaning coffee machines.
• Dusting and sweeping back stairways and communal areas.
• Spot cleaning throughout the day as required.
• Cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces.
• Cleaning offices and meeting rooms.
• Completing a handover with the Evening Supervisor at the end of each shift.
• Carrying out additional ad hoc cleaning tasks as required.

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
• Reliability, punctuality and professionalism.
• Good communication skills.
• A commitment to delivering consistently high standards of cleanliness.
