Ed Miliband approves UK’s biggest solar farm at Lincolnshire site

The Energy Secretary has approved the 700 MW Tillbridge solar farm near Gainsborough. The scheme covers just over 1,200 hectares and is expected to generate electricity equivalent to about 300,000 homes.
It is the UK’s largest solar project to date and adds to the pipeline of nationally significant clean-energy schemes.
