Mitie has been revalidated as a Gold Award recipient under the Ministry of Defence’s Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) for a further five years, having first achieved Gold status in 2020.

The company says its Military Network supports over 1,000 colleagues from the defence community, including veterans, reservists and forces families. Mitie highlights regular community initiatives such as internal events and coffee mornings, alongside tools and guidance aimed at supporting ex-military colleagues as they transition into civilian roles.

Mitie also references a dedicated Armed Forces Career Portal, work placements for veterans, and engagement through the Government’s Career Transition Partnership. For reservists, Mitie states it provides ten days’ paid leave each year in addition to annual holiday entitlement.
