About this Role
We are seeking a Technical Services Manager (Electrical) to oversee electrical maintenance operations across multiple sites. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership role, managing both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance while driving compliance, safety, and operational excellence.
About the Role
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a key role within the management team, leading a team of Electrical Maintenance Engineers across a diverse estate. You will ensure high standards of service delivery, compliance, and safety while driving continuous improvement across maintenance operations.
You will provide technical expertise across electrical systems, plant, and equipment, while overseeing contractor performance to ensure compliance with KPIs, contractual obligations, and quality standards. You will also support the development of maintenance strategies and improvement plans across the estate.
The role includes responsibility for Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), safe systems of work, and ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory regulations and health and safety legislation. You may also act in designated responsible or authorised roles where required.
You will manage CAFM systems to maintain accurate reporting, maintenance records, and compliance documentation, while also participating in an on-call rota to support emergency response requirements.
Collaboration is a key part of this role. You will work closely with clients, end users, contractors, and supply chain partners to ensure a consistently high standard of operational delivery. You will also support the mentoring and development of apprentices and team members, promoting a strong safety-first culture throughout the team.
What You’ll Need
You will be an experienced electrical professional with strong leadership skills and a proven background in maintenance or contractor management within a complex operational environment.
You should hold an 18th Edition Electrical qualification and have a strong understanding of electrical compliance processes and statutory requirements. Knowledge of health and safety legislation, including COSHH and RIDDOR, is essential.
You will also need:
Experience within highly regulated or secure environments would be advantageous, along with knowledge of specialist electrical protection systems. First Aid and additional health and safety qualifications would also be beneficial.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and technically capable professional looking to progress within a leadership role in a challenging and rewarding environment.
