About this Role

Are you an experienced Small Works Project Manager with a strong technical background in facilities management, maintenance, and project delivery? Do you have the ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations? If so, we’d like to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

As a Small Works Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the effective, compliant, and timely delivery of maintenance and response works. You’ll ensure all activities meet statutory and mandatory requirements, while monitoring supply chain performance and driving value for money without compromising on quality or safety.

Your technical expertise will be key in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment, from reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensuring compliance with asbestos and legionella management plans.

You will act as a single point of contact for resolving end-user issues and play an important role in managing relationships with key stakeholders, contractors, and infrastructure partners. Supporting end users, responding to technical queries, and handling complaints in a professional and timely manner will be central to your role.

Alongside operational delivery, you will take ownership of cost management and commercial performance, ensuring works remain financially viable. You’ll contribute to forward maintenance planning, mitigate risks, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency across multiple sites.

What You’ll Bring

To succeed in this role, you should hold a Level 4 Facilities Management qualification (or equivalent technical experience), along with proven experience managing day-to-day facilities operations, including planned and reactive maintenance and small project delivery.

You’ll have a strong understanding of Safe Systems of Work, including working at height, confined spaces, asbestos, and legionella management. Experience managing teams, monitoring contractor performance, and ensuring high standards of service delivery is essential.

Strong communication and leadership skills are key, along with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build effective working relationships. You’ll be proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
