We are looking for an L8 Specialist with substantial experience in building services and water hygiene compliance. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a related building services environment, either in a trade or managerial capacity.
A strong working knowledge of ACOP L8 requirements is essential, along with at least 6 months’ experience carrying out building surveys of water systems or similar environments. Previous experience in completing L8 Risk Assessments and managing work associated with L8 compliance and water systems is also required.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver all aspects of water hygiene and L8 compliance across the estate
- Write, develop, and review all L8 Risk Assessments
- Act as the technical subject matter expert for L8 delivery
- Work closely with Garrisons to ensure ongoing compliance and assurance
- Promote and ensure adherence to ADSL’s QHSE policies and procedures within the area of responsibility
- Ensure safe working practices are followed during maintenance and repair activities across the estate
- Provide technical guidance and advice relating to Legionella control and water management
- Comply with all safe systems of work for estate water-related activities
What We’re Looking For

City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent qualification in plumbing or heating systems

City & Guilds Accredited Risk Assessment Course (training can be provided if required)
- Good understanding of COSHH regulations, water by-laws, and associated ACOP/regulations including BS8580 and BS8558
- Computer literate with confidence using standard IT systems and software
