Site Labourer
Workplaces only perform when the site behind them is safe, ready, and well kept. As a Site Labourer, you make that possible every shift: clearing the way for trades, moving materials where they are needed, and leaving each area safer and cleaner than you found it. Your work keeps projects moving and protects the people who use and build these spaces.
Performance Objectives
- Start each shift by checking the work area, confirming instructions, and stopping unsafe conditions before work begins.
- Prepare sites so trades can start on time: clear access, set out materials, and protect finished surfaces.
- Move, load, and stage materials and tools accurately, reducing delays and damage.
- Support installation, concrete, carpentry, cleaning, and maintenance tasks to the standard set by the supervisor.
- Keep walkways, work zones, and storage areas clear, organised, and compliant with site rules throughout the day.
- Use hand and power tools correctly, report defects immediately, and return equipment ready for the next user.
- Close each shift with hazards logged, waste removed, and the supervisor briefed on unfinished work.
Environment & Resources
You will work on active commercial sites with a small site team, reporting to a site supervisor. You will use standard hand and power tools, personal protective equipment, and simple work instructions or work orders. Materials, equipment, and safety guidance are provided; you follow established methods and escalate anything outside them.
Essential Qualifications
- Proven reliability on physical, outdoor, or site-based work, including punctual attendance and following direction.
- Ability to lift, carry, and work on your feet for a full shift in varying weather.
- Safe use, or rapid ability to learn safe use, of common hand and power tools.
- Working understanding of site safety rules, including stopping work and reporting hazards.
- Clear communication in Italian sufficient to receive instructions and flag risks; basic reading of signs and simple work notes.
- Legal right to work in Italy.
Role Selling Points
- Hands-on work with a visible result at the end of every shift.
- A safety-first team culture built on respect, integrity, service, and excellence.
- Structured guidance and a clear path from general site work toward skilled trades.
- Exposure to varied commercial workplace and construction tasks, not a single repetitive task.
