About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Qualifying Supervisor to oversee electrical installation, inspection, testing, and compliance across a range of mechanical and electrical projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrical professional who is passionate about maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and technical compliance.

Working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and management, you will ensure electrical works are completed to current regulations, projects are successfully tested and commissioned, and defects are managed through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead technical contact for all electrical installation, inspection, testing, and compliance activities.
  • Oversee electrical testing and certification across multiple projects.
  • Manage the close-out of electrical and mechanical defects during project completion and defects liability periods.
  • Track project milestones to ensure testing, commissioning, and certification are completed on time.
  • Maintain calibration records for testing equipment and oversee PAT testing schedules.
  • Carry out regular site inspections to monitor quality, compliance, and progress.
  • Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to resolve technical issues and support successful project delivery.
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with current regulations and industry standards.
  • Produce regular progress reports highlighting project updates, testing status, and any key issues.
  • Promote and maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring appropriate risk assessments and method statements are in place.
  • Support continuous improvement of quality assurance procedures and working practices.

About You

You will be an experienced electrical professional with strong technical knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional standards.

Essential Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within an electrical compliance or supervisory role.
  • Experience managing electrical testing, inspection, and project close-out.
  • Registered or eligible to act as a Qualifying Supervisor.
  • Experience reviewing and verifying electrical inspection and testing documentation.
  • Strong understanding of current electrical regulations and industry best practice.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Essential Qualifications

  • 18th Edition BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
  • City & Guilds 2394 & 2395 (or equivalent) Inspection & Testing qualification.
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.
  • ECS/CSCS Gold Card.

Desirable Qualifications

  • SSSTS.
  • AM2.
