Project Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the successful planning, execution and delivery of projects across the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project scope, timelines, budgets, resources and stakeholder engagement to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with business objectives.
This role requires a highly organised and proactive individual with excellent communication skills, strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Lead projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring delivery against agreed objectives, timelines and budgets.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules and resource requirements.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where required.
- Manage project risks, issues and dependencies, escalating where appropriate.
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with company governance, quality and compliance standards.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate project meetings and provide regular progress updates.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication at all levels.
Commercial and Financial Management
- Prepare and manage project budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor project costs and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
- Support contract administration and commercial management activities where required.
- Ensure projects achieve agreed commercial and operational objectives.
Resource Management
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements.
- Support team development and foster a collaborative project environment.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and methodologies.
- Capture lessons learned and share best practice across the business.
- Support the implementation of project management tools and systems.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Proven experience delivering complex projects within a relevant industry sector.
- Strong project planning and programme management skills.
- Experience managing budgets, risks and stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
Desirable
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction, Business or a related discipline.
- Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, APM, PMP or equivalent).
- Experience working within regulated or technical environments.
- Commercial and contract management experience.
