This role plays an important part in ensuring that both planned and reactive maintenance activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory standards.
Previous experience with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) is preferred but not essential. While a Level 3 qualification is desirable, candidates holding a Level 2 qualification are also encouraged to apply.
What You Will Do
- Ensure Health & Safety standards are consistently met across the site
- Test and inspect electrical installations in line with current IEE wiring regulations
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
- Carry out planned and preventative electrical maintenance
- Diagnose faults and repair or replace domestic electrical components
- Undertake electrical installation activities in accordance with provided designs and IET Wiring Regulations
- Monitor and order critical spare parts for electrical services and oversee the Building Management System (BMS)
- Support sustainability and zero carbon initiatives
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by your line manager
What You Will Bring
- City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 Level 2 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- BS7671 18th Edition (17th Edition will be considered with willingness to upskill)
- Good working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
- Experience or understanding of planned and preventative maintenance operations
- Strong organisational, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Comfortable working at heights
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Understanding of fire alarm and CCTV systems (desirable)
- Knowledge of Electrical Systems and Electricity at Work Regulations
- Basic IT skills
