Balfour Beatty has been awarded the £315 million, seven-year Warwickshire Highways Maintenance contract by Warwickshire County Council alongside Coventry City Council and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
It marks a third consecutive term for Balfour Beatty on the partnership, taking the arrangement through to spring 2033, with an option to extend by a further six years (up to a total value of £900m).
Balfour Beatty Living Places will deliver a broad highways scope across 5,000km of roads and cyclical maintenance on 55,000 streetlights, with the councils also referencing wider network assets such as roads, footways, structures, and drainage-related assets (including gulleys and culverts).
The contract is due to commence in spring 2026, and Balfour Beatty says it will introduce a more digitally enabled operating model to consolidate programme and performance data, supporting oversight and future service improvements.
