About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Analyst with strong FM (Facilities Management) cost expertise and exceptional numerical and Excel capabilities. You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, building robust cost models, and supporting commercial decisions. This is a hands-on role for a true numbers expert who can translate contract terms into actionable financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and manage detailed FM cost models using Excel and Power BI.
Gather, validate, and analyse data from multiple sources to support cost modelling.
Understand FM contracts and interpret clauses to calculate cost implications (e.g., minimum wage increases, contract variations).
Write clear processes for contract changes and provide mathematical justification for claims and adjustments.
Provide insights and recommendations to support commercial and operational decision-making.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure cost models reflect current and future FM requirements.
Travel to Birmingham as needed to support on-site commercial activities.
Required Skills and Experience
Proven experience in FM cost estimation and commercial analysis.
Expert-level Excel skills, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and modelling.
Strong data analysis skills and experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools.
Solid understanding of FM contracts and commercial processes.
Experience translating contract clauses into financial calculations.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
Excellent attention to detail and numeracy.
