Location: Lyneham (Hybrid)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 + Company Car / Car Allowance
We're recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established organisation delivering critical, large-scale infrastructure and facilities programmes within a highly regulated environment. This role offers long-term stability, exposure to complex and high-profile projects, and genuine opportunities for progression.
The Role
This is a commercially focused Quantity Surveying position where accuracy, governance and value for money are essential. You’ll be responsible for the full commercial management of works across a varied portfolio, including scoping and pricing voids, maintaining cost control, and ensuring robust financial governance throughout the project lifecycle.
You’ll work closely with operational and site teams, clients and supply chain partners to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly and within budget. The role also involves commercial reporting, cost modelling, change control, risk management and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. There will be opportunities to contribute to dispute resolution and mentor others within the commercial function.
Key Responsibilities
Full commercial management from inception through to final account
Scoping, pricing and valuation of works using established pricing frameworks
Budget management, forecasting and cost reporting
Change control, risk management and financial governance
Building strong relationships with internal teams, clients and subcontractors
Supporting continuous improvement and best commercial practice
Essential Criteria (Non-Negotiable)
Please note: applications will only be considered if all of the below criteria are met:
Proven Quantity Surveying experience within social housing
Strong, demonstrable knowledge of pricing frameworks
Experience within construction, property maintenance or facilities management
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent industry experience
Candidates without a social housing background or without pricing framework knowledge will be automatically rejected.
