Role: Quality Assurance and Risk Manager
Location: Cambridgeshire (St Ives), on site.
Contract: Permanent, Mon-Fri 8am-4.30pm
Salary: 40k-45k + single private medical care
We’re working in partnership with a leading Facilities Management company to recruit an experienced Quality Assurance and Risk Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team, taking ownership of quality and risk frameworks that drive operational excellence across a major contract.
The Role
As the Quality Assurance and Risk Manager, you’ll lead the development, implementation, and management of effective quality and risk assurance frameworks that support consistent, compliant, and efficient service delivery. Acting as a central point for assurance, compliance, and performance improvement, you’ll ensure all systems and outputs meet both client expectations and recognised quality standards.
You’ll play a key role in:
Leading the Quality function, developing strategies and tactical plans that support both operational and long-term goals.
Administering assurance procedures, validating processes, and providing robust documentation and reporting.
Managing performance data and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Leading risk workshops, maintaining active risk registers, and promoting a proactive approach to opportunity management.
Collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to strengthen delivery outcomes.
Acting as the key point of contact for client assurance, providing transparent reporting and effective communication.
You will also lead and develop a small team of compliance professionals, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of accountability, fairness, and innovation.
What You’ll Bring
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
Proven experience in the hard services FM sector, with strong operational management and leadership skills.
Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel, with experience using CAFM and SAP systems (highly desirable).
A strong grasp of Health & Safety legislation, including COSHH and RIDDOR.
Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, with experience managing team performance.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain SC-level security clearance.
Desirable:
Experience working with mechanical or electrical assets in commercial environments.
First Aid and Health & Safety qualifications.
Membership in a relevant professional body.
Prior experience within a Ministry of Defence environment (advantageous).
