QSHE Manager

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager .



This is a key role for an individual who is passionate about promoting high standards of health, safety, and environmental management. You’ll play a central role in ensuring that operations are safe, compliant, and continuously improving across a complex, multi-disciplinary environment.



Key Duties:

  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across the site, ensuring full compliance with internal systems and relevant external accreditations.

  • Take a proactive approach to risk reduction, with a clear focus on the safety of people and protection of property and the environment.

  • Support the wider Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) function through detailed incident investigations, internal audits, staff training, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams and clients to maintain a high level of engagement in all HSE matters.



Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver proactive strategies for identifying and mitigating risk across the site.

  • Keep operational teams informed of relevant legislative changes and industry best practices.

  • Ensure operational managers and staff are trained, competent, and supported in all aspects of HSE compliance and improvement.

  • Conduct risk assessments and provide specialist HSE support, including managing documentation and assisting with insurance-related activities.

  • Take a hands-on approach to general site safety duties, supporting the business as needed.



What We’re Looking For:

  • Certified membership with IOSH (minimum requirement).

  • Demonstrable experience in Facilities Management or a comparable operational environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of Environmental Management principles and safe practices for industrial work, including working at height.

  • Experience managing HSE across multiple sites or disciplines, especially within Hard Services.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

  • Full UK driving licence (a company vehicle will be provided for site work).
