What a Typical Day Looks Like
Reviewing condition survey reports
Lifecycle planning
Project justification and documentation
Tender and procurement support
Writing scopes of work
Working with procurement teams to raise and manage RFQs, RFTs, and respond to RFIs
Collaborating with internal management teams and stakeholders
Travel
Travel between various sites and buildings i
Occasional visits to the business centre on an ad hoc basis
Your Role
Plan 5-year priced programmes for future lifecycle work, including fully justified and costed lifecycle plans in line with contract timescales.
Produce robust project briefs and coordinate with estimating teams to secure pricing of AMP lines, ensuring a smooth transition to the project delivery team.
Ensure all work is supported by accurate survey data and maintenance information, aligned with contractual requirements.
Minimise disruption to clients through effective programme planning and clear communication.
Review condition surveys alongside maintenance reports to produce detailed scopes of work and estimates for future projects, using both internal staff and external consultants.
Package survey findings into projects (by asset type or similar works, such as roads or building management systems), incorporating relevant funding streams—such as change works, compensation events, or improvement initiatives—to reduce repeat disruption and improve delivery efficiency.
Ensure full compliance with the organisation’s management system and QHSE policies and procedures across all areas of responsibility.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
Educated to a minimum of HNC/HND level (NQF Level 4/5) or equivalent in a relevant discipline, with membership of a recognised technical body.
Experience:
Proven experience in planning and pricing programmes of work related to maintenance, lifecycle management, or change projects. A background in mechanical and electrical (M&E) services is preferred, ensuring balanced technical input across projects.
Skills:
Strong communication and relationship-building abilities, delivering high-quality, customer-focused service while driving improvement, embracing change, and managing risk effectively. You’ll act as a role model—motivating others and supporting organisational growth.
Travel:
Full, valid UK driving licence required
Regular travel between local sites and occasional visits to the central business centre
