We are recruiting on behalf of a leading facilities management provider for an experienced Billable Works Project Manager. This role is pivotal in overseeing the full lifecycle of Billable Works projects – from initial concept and design through pricing, delivery, and final handover. Operating across a defined geographical area, the Project Manager ensures that all works are delivered to a high standard, on time, and within budget.
This position requires strong technical competence, independent decision-making, and excellent communication skills to provide expert guidance and support to clients and stakeholders.
The Role
Manage the delivery of all Billable Works in line with statutory and regulatory requirements, with particular focus on Health & Safety and environmental standards.
Drive a culture of safe working and continuous improvement across project delivery.
Oversee and monitor Supply Chain partners, ensuring appropriate resource allocation and quality of work.
Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements, ensuring compliance before works commence.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders including local associations, site managers, and customer representatives to agree scope, priorities, and programmes of work.
Ensure accurate project documentation, reporting, and record-keeping through internal systems.
Provide technical solutions to meet customer requirements, manage stakeholder expectations, and contribute towards broader sustainability objectives, including carbon reduction targets.
Maintain effective cost control, contract risk management, and stakeholder engagement to deliver value for money.
Supervise site operations and drive contractor performance to meet KPIs.
Please note: This is a mobile role requiring extensive travel across the East Midlands and East Anglia regions.
What You’ll Bring
HND (or higher) in Building, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
Management-level Health & Safety qualification (e.g. SMSTS).
Evidence of continuing professional development.
Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office.
Demonstrable experience managing suppliers and contractors within a project management environment.
Proven ability to control costs, manage risks, and achieve KPIs in a regulated environment.
Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
