Project Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading facilities management provider for an experienced Billable Works Project Manager. This role is pivotal in overseeing the full lifecycle of Billable Works projects – from initial concept and design through pricing, delivery, and final handover. Operating across a defined geographical area, the Project Manager ensures that all works are delivered to a high standard, on time, and within budget.

This position requires strong technical competence, independent decision-making, and excellent communication skills to provide expert guidance and support to clients and stakeholders.

The Role

• Manage the delivery of all Billable Works in line with statutory and regulatory requirements, with particular focus on Health & Safety and environmental standards.

• Drive a culture of safe working and continuous improvement across project delivery.

• Oversee and monitor Supply Chain partners, ensuring appropriate resource allocation and quality of work.

• Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements, ensuring compliance before works commence.

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders including local associations, site managers, and customer representatives to agree scope, priorities, and programmes of work.

• Ensure accurate project documentation, reporting, and record-keeping through internal systems.

• Provide technical solutions to meet customer requirements, manage stakeholder expectations, and contribute towards broader sustainability objectives, including carbon reduction targets.

• Maintain effective cost control, contract risk management, and stakeholder engagement to deliver value for money.

• Supervise site operations and drive contractor performance to meet KPIs.

Please note: This is a mobile role requiring extensive travel across the East Midlands and East Anglia regions.

What You’ll Bring

• HND (or higher) in Building, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

• Management-level Health & Safety qualification (e.g. SMSTS).

• Evidence of continuing professional development.

• Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office.

• Demonstrable experience managing suppliers and contractors within a project management environment.

• Proven ability to control costs, manage risks, and achieve KPIs in a regulated environment.

• Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
