Overview
We are working in partnership with a leading facilities management company to appoint a Financial Reporting Manager. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and performance through effective management of reporting, treasury, and control processes.
You will provide technical expertise across accounting, reporting, and process improvement activities, ensuring alignment with IFRS and driving continuous improvement in financial governance and performance across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all treasury operations, including the production of rolling cashflow forecasts and management of cash receipts, working closely with the central treasury team and banking partners.
Maintain and govern the fixed asset and lease registers, ensuring accurate capitalisation, depreciation, and compliance with accounting standards.
Manage VAT returns, CIS reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations in collaboration with outsourced service providers.
Support accurate accounting treatment of costs related to new bids and mobilisations, providing insight to support business growth and cost control.
Work alongside the Financial Controller to coordinate external audits, statutory financial reports, and shareholder audits.
Support compliance with Companies House and other regulatory bodies, engaging external advisors as required on tax, pensions, and other technical financial matters.
Maintain robust accounting practices in line with IFRS, providing guidance and training to finance teams to embed best practice and strengthen compliance.
Develop and maintain the organisation’s financial processes and policy database to ensure transparency and accessibility.
Lead and develop the Purchase to Pay (P2P) team, driving accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with procurement and finance functions to assess and optimise the offshore P2P model, identifying opportunities to enhance cost efficiency and operational performance.
Inspire and develop your team to deliver high-quality outputs and support evolving business needs.
What You'll Bring
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience.
Strong technical expertise in IFRS accounting, treasury management, and statutory reporting.
Proven ability to challenge, influence, and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
Advanced Excel skills and experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility to travel across the UK and work one day per week from the Birmingham (Ingenuity House) office.
