The Electrician plays a key role in ensuring that both planned and reactive maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant standards.
Previous experience in planned preventative maintenance is desirable but not essential. While a Level 3 qualification is preferred, candidates holding a Level 2 qualification will also be considered.
What you will do:
Ensure Health & Safety standards are consistently met across all work activities
Test and inspect electrical installations in accordance with current IEE wiring regulations
Respond promptly to breakdowns, ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
Carry out planned and preventative electrical maintenance, including diagnosing and replacing faulty domestic electrical components
Perform fault finding and problem solving on domestic electrical systems
Undertake electrical installation work in line with provided designs and IET Wiring Regulations
Monitor and order critical spare parts for electrical services, and oversee the BMS system
Support zero carbon initiatives, contribute to sustainability goals, and carry out additional tasks as directed by your line manager
What you will bring:
Relevant technical qualification (e.g. City & Guilds 2365 Parts 1–3, BTEC, NVQ Level 3 or above)
Knowledge of BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition)
Understanding of electrical systems and Electricity at Work Regulations
Experience in electrical maintenance, including distribution, installation, and testing
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Capability to work at heights
