As a Contract Manager, you will manage and coordinate the delivery of contracted services at a client site. You will work closely with internal legal teams and other functional departments to gather and analyse information, identify potential issues, and support the development and management of contracts.
This role sits within the Client Management function, which focuses on overseeing the delivery of contracted services to ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently met or exceeded. The team is responsible for managing project scope, schedules, risks, and budgets, while ensuring operational teams and subcontractors clearly understand client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate all phases of site management, overseeing operational and contractual requirements with the business.
Review, interpret, and analyse contracts and service agreements to ensure compliance with legal guidelines, contracting principles, cost constraints, and organisational procedures.
Evaluate amendments to existing contracts or requests for extensions and provide recommendations for approval or alternative solutions to minimise risk.
Develop, review, and evaluate proposals for new services or the continuation of existing service delivery and recommend the appropriate course of action.
Understand business practices and ensure effective integration of the role with other functions to achieve team and departmental objectives.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex operational or contractual issues.
Support and guide the team to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness within the function.
Communicate complex information clearly, set performance expectations, and manage sensitive issues when required.
Influence stakeholders to reach agreement on shared objectives.
Perform financial analysis and calculations, including percentages, discounts, and cost evaluations.
Provide efficient, timely, reliable, and professional service to internal and external stakeholders.
Present information clearly and effectively to relevant audiences.
Manage vendor relationships, including invoicing and billing procedures.
Provide training on processes and procedures relating to maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
Coordinate and supervise the team’s daily activities to ensure effective service delivery.
Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of five years’ relevant experience in contract management, facilities management, or a related field.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong understanding of financial terms, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Ability to apply knowledge of the discipline and collaborate effectively with other functions to achieve team and organisational objectives.
