Role Overview
We are representing a leading Facilities Management company in their search for an experienced Account Manager. This senior management role will lead the operational and support teams to deliver outstanding FM services across a high-profile contract. The successful candidate will own the client relationship, ensure contractual obligations are consistently met, and drive operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic and operational leadership to the contract team, ensuring safe, effective, and compliant FM service delivery.
Take full P&L responsibility, including invoicing, accruals, income, and debt management.
Oversee compliance with statutory and legislative requirements, ensuring all remedial actions are completed on time.
Manage performance reporting, producing high-quality internal and external reports with analysis and action planning.
Lead monthly client and contract performance reviews, ensuring accountability and timely delivery of actions.
Drive efficiency through workforce planning, recruitment, and minimising agency reliance.
Support operational teams and contractors to achieve service delivery targets, addressing underperformance proactively.
Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the contract.
Ensure training and development plans are delivered to maintain competency and compliance.
Foster strong client relationships, acting as a trusted partner and ambassador for the business.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and change management capability.
Strategic thinker with hands-on operational delivery experience.
Proven ability to manage complex contracts with commercial and financial accountability.
Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
Results-driven, with experience embedding and sustaining improvements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (or equivalent), CAFM systems, and performance management tools.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
IOSH Managing Safely (minimum).
PFI Experience.
Proven track record in managing multiple regional or complex FM contracts.
Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and H&S legislation.
Experience in financial and commercial management.
Desirable
Professional qualifications such as BIFM/IWFM.
Project management or Lean/Six Sigma certification.
