Senior Commercial Analyst

Our client, a leading organisation within the Facilities Management sector, is seeking a highly analytical and commercially driven Senior Commercial Analyst to support the financial performance and strategic development of a large and complex FM contract.

In this role, you will play a key part in developing and managing contract change models, maintaining the contract change database and producing reporting that provides clear visibility of contract evolution. You will also develop and maintain commercial pricing templates, including pricing aligned to MOD SFG20 standards, and build detailed asset-level costing models (L4). These models will incorporate supply chain costs, direct delivery costs and overheads to support robust and accurate commercial forecasting.

Working closely with Commercial and Operational teams, you will support supply chain pricing validation, identify cost-saving opportunities, develop pricing proposals and assist with the evaluation of Billable Works tenders. Collaboration with operational stakeholders will be essential to ensure commercial submissions align with contract scope and can be delivered effectively in practice.

Commercial analysis will form a core part of the position. Using enterprise systems such as SAP and Maximo, alongside advanced Excel modelling and reporting tools including Power BI, you will produce consolidated reporting, identify efficiency opportunities and support initiatives that drive revenue growth. You will also contribute to the ongoing improvement of commercial processes, policies and training, as well as support the development of centralised reporting and document management platforms such as SharePoint.

About You

You will bring strong financial modelling capability with advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience in Hard FM pricing. You will be comfortable building complex cost models, analysing performance data and presenting clear, insight-led recommendations to senior stakeholders using tools such as Power BI and PowerPoint.

You will be a self-motivated and resilient professional who can manage a demanding and varied workload with minimal supervision. Strong analytical ability is essential, along with the capacity to interpret complex information quickly and communicate key commercial insights in a clear and accessible way.

Experience within facilities management, construction or public sector environments would be beneficial, particularly where contract change, supply chain pricing and asset-based costing models are involved. Familiarity with systems such as SAP, Maximo or similar asset management platforms will be advantageous, as will knowledge of ISO44001 and experience supporting contracts within public sector or defence environments.

You will demonstrate high levels of integrity, attention to detail and a collaborative approach, contributing positively to team development while maintaining strong professional and ethical standards.

The role will require occasional travel to client sites and the ability to obtain SC level security clearance. A full UK driving licence is essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially curious and technically strong analyst who enjoys using data to drive performance, inform decision-making and support the success of a high-profile FM contract.
