Location: Bellshill (covering North Lanarkshire and surrounding areas)
Salary: £38,425 + Benefits
Full-time | 40 hours per week | 1 in 4 on-call rota
We’re recruiting for a Mobile Electrician to join a well-established facilities contract based out of Bellshill, covering North Lanarkshire and the surrounding region.
This is a great opportunity for a fully qualified electrician who enjoys a varied role across PPM, reactive maintenance, and minor works within a facilities management environment.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive electrical maintenance across multiple sites, ensuring compliance, safety, and high service standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and plant
Respond to and resolve reactive maintenance issues efficiently
Diagnose and repair plant faults to maintain operational performance
Complete emergency lighting testing and electrical inspections
Maintain accurate records via CAFM systems
Prepare risk assessments and method statements for works
Supervise subcontractors when required
Ensure compliance with KPIs, SLAs, and statutory regulations
Operate within Permit to Work systems
Provide engineering support during emergencies
Participate in a 1 in 4 on-call rota
All work must be completed in line with current regulations including BS7671.

About You
Fully qualified Electrician
18th Edition (IEE Wiring Regulations)
Experience within Facilities Management or building services maintenance
Strong experience in PPMs and reactive electrical works
Emergency lighting testing experience
Sound understanding of safe systems of work and risk assessments
Ability to maintain and repair building services including:
Lighting and small power
LV distribution and switchgear
Fire alarms
HVAC systems
Heating systems and pumps
Domestic hot and cold water systems
Desirable:
C&G 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
Experience issuing permits (LVAP/LVCP/HVAP advantageous)
Due to the nature of the contract, candidates must be able to obtain a Basic Disclosure Scotland check.
