Contract Manager

We are looking for a commercially minded and results-driven Contract Manager to take responsibility for a high-profile contract. This role combines strong financial management with the delivery of excellent facilities services, while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Account Director, you will play a central part in shaping strategy, strengthening governance, and building trusted client partnerships.

In return, we offer a competitive salary, opportunities for professional growth, and the chance to make a meaningful impact within a progressive and supportive organisation.

As Contract Manager, you will lead a team delivering integrated FM solutions with a clear focus on financial stewardship and operational excellence. You will ensure accurate and transparent validation of supplier and subcontractor invoices, deliver consistent budget performance, and proactively identify opportunities for efficiency and growth. Beyond day-to-day compliance, you will contribute to strategic development, drive innovation, and support long-term success for both client and business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong commercial and financial leadership across the contract, ensuring all invoicing, validation, and budget processes are timely and accurate.

  • Drive profitability by analysing financial performance, identifying efficiencies, and introducing innovative service solutions.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering clear financial insights, value-added reporting, and strategic support.

  • Lead and motivate the onsite FM team to achieve service excellence against agreed SLAs and KPIs.

  • Ensure full contractual and statutory compliance, while effectively managing third-party suppliers.

  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and performance reports with clear recommendations for improvement.

  • Contribute to business development through cost modelling, governance expertise, and creative service proposals.

  • Oversee labour planning, HSE compliance, and business continuity with a commercial and strategic mindset.

About You

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years’ senior-level experience managing IFM contracts with full financial accountability.

  • Strong background in invoice validation, budget control, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Proven track record of delivering innovations that improve efficiency, service quality, and profitability.

  • Skilled people leader with the ability to inspire teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Excellent client engagement and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience in contract growth, change management, and continuous improvement.

  • Solid knowledge of workplace strategies and corporate FM environments.

Desirable:

  • IWFM qualification (or equivalent, or working towards).

  • IOSH qualification.
