Our client, a leading Facilities Management provider, is undergoing a significant commercial transformation to streamline operations, enhance contract performance and scale with efficiency. We are seeking a Commercial Transformation Lead to drive this strategic change. This pivotal role is ideal for a commercially astute transformation expert with experience in FM or complex service contracts.
You will be accountable for creating and embedding clear, repeatable commercial processes – particularly around pricing models, tender submissions, contract management and change processes. The goal is to establish a lean, scalable commercial model that could ultimately reduce reliance on multiple operational roles.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of a scalable commercial transformation strategy.
Develop systems, templates, and SOPs for:
Tender and bid processes
Pricing models and commercial frameworks
Contract lifecycle and change control processes
Collaborate with internal stakeholders including commercial, finance, and operations teams to ensure end-to-end alignment.
Establish governance and controls that standardise delivery across all contracts.
Evaluate resource needs and build a lean internal team (e.g., contract specialist, commercial analyst) to support delivery.
Deliver measurable outcomes including headcount savings, cost reductions, and increased bid quality.
Provide leadership and mentorship to any temporary or interim resources brought in for project-specific needs.
Ideal Profile
Proven track record in commercial transformation or commercial operations leadership in FM, outsourcing, or complex contract-led sectors.
Strong knowledge of tendering, pricing, and contract management processes.
Demonstrated ability to create repeatable processes and systems that scale across multiple clients/contracts.
Skilled in change management and stakeholder engagement.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Commercially hands-on – can roll sleeves up and build from scratch when needed.
Experience leading or forming small project teams (e.g., analyst, specialist) and working with interim resources as needed.
