We are seeking a motivated and experienced Cleaning & Hygiene Contract Manager to join our team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and food hygiene are maintained across the site.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead a team of around 30 colleagues. You will oversee all cleaning activities, support your team, and ensure high standards are consistently achieved within a food production environment.
What you will be doing
You will ensure all machinery, equipment, and work areas are cleaned and maintained to strict food hygiene standards, supporting safe and efficient production in line with company and industry requirements.
Lead and support a team of cleaning colleagues
Demonstrate and monitor correct methods for dismantling, cleaning, and reassembling machinery
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across production areas
Ensure the safe and correct use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
Support the Operations Manager in delivering safe, compliant operations
Report machinery issues, hygiene concerns, and safety risks
Ensure all health, safety, and food hygiene procedures are followed
What we are looking for
Experience cleaning machinery and production equipment, ideally in food manufacturing or preparation
Strong understanding of food hygiene and sanitation standards
Experience supervising or leading a team
Knowledge of safe chemical use and cleaning procedures
Good organisational and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
A strong focus on quality and standards
